Class Instructors

Jeff Christian
Head Instructor

Mr. Christian began studying Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu in 1983 under Stephen Hayes, and then in 1986 began studying under Larry Turner and Kevin Schneider. He received his godan (5th degree black belt) in 1993 and his ju-sandan (13th degree black belt) in 2006. He also studied Shito-ryu karate, aikido, and boxing, as well as judo for several years.

Mr. Christian's education includes a B.A. in Philosophy, an M.A. in English, and M.Hum. in Humanities. Certified at NYU in 1994 as a personal trainer, Mr. Christian has also helped design and teach personal training certification programs in NYC. His work and training experience allows him to apply modern exercise principles to traditional Bujinkan training techniques.

 
     

Josh Frank
Instructor

Mr. Frank began training under Jeff Christian in 1998. In 2006, he was promoted to yondan (4th degree black belt) and currently teaches at Muzosa. Mr. Frank's other martial arts experiences include judo, karate, tae kwon do, wrestling, and filipino stick fighting. Mr. Frank has B.A in Fine Art with a minor Social Science and Psychology. Also a talented artist, Mr. Frank has worked with children, teaching art classes to students ranging in age from 8 to 17 years old.

   
     

Loren Christian
Instructor and Administrator

Ms. Christian has cared for and taught children since 1990. Her considerable experience working with children of all ages has helped us to design a program that not only addresses the physical needs of students but also their mental devlopment. Ms. Christan is currently ranked a green belt in Budo Taijutsu.
